Aquatic Exercise Classes at Teignbridge Leisure.

We are excited to offer you a unique and refreshing way to get fit and have fun. Our classes take place in a pool, where the buoyancy of the water makes exercise easier on your joints while still providing a challenging workout.

Our classes are led by certified instructors who will guide you through a variety of exercises designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility. Whether you are new to exercise or a seasoned athlete, our classes are suitable for all fitness levels.

Our water-based group exercise classes offer a wide range of options, including aqua aerobics, water yoga, and aqua cycling. Aqua aerobics is a high-energy class that incorporates dance-inspired movements, while water yoga offers a low-impact way to stretch and strengthen your muscles. Aqua cycling combines the benefits of cycling with the resistance of water, creating an intense but low-impact workout.

Aqua Fit

Looking for a fun workout? Try Aqua Fit, an instructor led class using the water for a great all round workout. Low and high-intensity exercise classes for all levels and abilities. Aqua Fit will offer a range of gentle stretches and low-intensity aqua moves in the water, leaving you feeling relaxed and refreshed. They are a great fitness class for anyone new or looking to return to exercise or recovery from any injury or post-surgery. Allow your body to move, improve and be stimulated in new ways. Our Aqua Fit workouts strengthen the mind and the body.

 

Adult Condition Swim

Are you looking to take your swimming to the next level? Try our Adult Condition Swim. The training session is instructor-led and will predominantly be front crawl swimming. During the one hour session, you can expect to swim between 2k and 3k. The instructor will be on hand to offer support, guidance and advice on techniques and answer any questions you may have.

 

Aqua Circuits

Aqua circuits are like land-based circuits but the exercises are completed in the swimming pool. A low impact workout perfect for all abilities and levels. There are several exercise stations that you’ll work through, each with a different exercise. These exercises work different parts of the body, giving you a total body workout. Each exercise lasts for one minute and then everyone moves on to the next exercise.
You’ll use different pieces of equipment to provide a resistance training workout in the water.
Aqua Circuits is perfect for those who prefer a more targeted workout without a choreography element.

 

Light Condition Swim

Are you looking to take your swimming to the next level? Try our Light Condition Swim. The training session is instructor-led and will be on hand to offer support, guidance and advice on techniques and answer any questions you may have. During the one hour session, our instructor will set drills to complete to improve your skill, technique and fitness. You can expect to swim between 0.5k and 1k. Light Condition Swim is excellent for swimmers looking to improve strength and distance to progress onto our Adult Condition Swim.

 

Adult Improvers Swim

Can you swim continuously for 50 metres or are you looking to improve your overall swimming stroke? Try our Adult Improvers Swim. Adult Improvers Swim is excellent for swimmers looking to improve techniques on their strokes. The session is instructor-led and will be on hand to offer support, guidance and advice on techniques and answer any questions you may have. Our instructor will work with you to improve your skill, technique, and fitness during the one-hour session. Adult Improvers Swim is not suitable for non-swimmers.

Cancellation policy

  • Notice of cancellation must be given at least 2 hours before the booking; otherwise, a fee will be retained for pay as you go users and applied to members' accounts at the standard price of the activity.
  • All leisure users who fail to attend and/or cancel within 2 hours on three occasions within a 30 day period will lose their booking privileges for a month.
