We’re excited to share a key milestone in the redevelopment of Broadmeadow Sports Centre – we’ve officially been given a handover date of Monday 14th July! (Official reopening to be confirmed).
This is the day we’ll receive the keys and begin the final stage of preparations ahead of reopening. From installing brand-new gym equipment and signage to setting up studios and training staff, we’re getting everything ready to welcome you back.
As we approach this exciting new chapter for Broadmeadow, here’s a reminder of what you can look forward to:
Here is what you can expect when we reopen:

Relocated entrance to the car park side, to make it more accessible.

Extended both the studios upstairs and installed a new studio downstairs.

An extension to the gym areas including new equipment.

Sauna and one Squash court will remain.

The sports hall will be reduced to a standard full-size 4-court sports hall to accommodate the studio and gym developments.

Changing facilities will be refurbished retaining the single-sex provision and a village changing area is being introduced.

Decarbonisation works include the installation of air source heat pumps, improved air handling and circulation and improvements to the building fabric to enhance thermo-regulation of the facility.
We hope these changes will enhance your experience and improve the working environment for our staff.
