Adding a stop in the steam or sauna room to your post workout routine can decrease your recovery time and help you feel healthier. While steam and sauna rooms should never replace treatments that your doctor has prescribed, they are a great place to unwind and reap some health benefits while you’re at it. Always practice good hygiene by wearing flip-flops, sitting on a towel, and rinsing off with a lukewarm shower to get rid of bacteria after time in a steam room.
Our Sauna and Steam rooms are open 7 days a week at Newton Abbot Leisure Centre and Broadmeadow Sports Centre with changing rooms and lockers available.
Booking your session
Given rising energy costs, we encourage sauna and steam room users to book their visit with us. Booking ahead will allow us to ensure the facilities are turned on and ready for your arrival. If no one is booked in, we will look to turn off the facility to reduce energy use.
You can book on our Leisure App or by logging in to your My Profile Account.
